These works capture the spontaneous moments of the urban environment. The work light-heartedly asks questions around what it means to be an individual in the wider domain.
Daniel Bodey is a Sydney based artist, originally from Wollongong. His work is informed by the pedestrian-ship of the everyday urban experience. He paints spontaneously photographed images taken from his iPhone with a textured method.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The National Art School and won the Troy Quinliven Prize in 2020. Recent shows include Nu Genisis, Glebe Rats and has a solo show at the Sheffer Gallery from the 9-19 June 2020.
